Another Year è la quarta collaborazione di Michele Austin con Mike Leigh. E' apparsa nella sua commedia teatrale "It's a Great Big Shame!", e poi in "Segreti e bugie" e "Tutto o niente". Tra le sue ultime apparizioni sul grande schermo ricordiamo The Infidel e I'll Sleep When I'm Dead. Ha interpretato numerose produzioni televisive, tra cui Outnumbered, Never Better, Secret Life, The Canterbury Tales: The Wife of Bath e The Last Detective; e ha avuto un ruolo fisso nella serie tv The Bill. In teatro, ha recitato con le compagnie Out of Joint, Oxford Stage Company, Hampstead Theatre e Young Vic.
