Un disastro realmente avvenuto. Nel 1982 un aereo diretto a Washington, a causa di una tempesta di neve, precipita nel fiume Potomac. Numerosissime le vittime. Oltre i passeggeri dell'aereo, anche parecchie persone che transitavano sul ponte sovrastante il fiume. Un elicottero alla fine riesce a salvare i pochi superstiti.
