Il filmmaker Usama Alshaibi torna in Iraq, suo paese natale, doo venticinque anni di lontananza e ne racconta le differenze.
By now, the Iraq documentary is virtually its own genre, and while the scope and quality of individual films vary wildly, their distinctions matter less than their cumulative clamor. With “Nice Bombs,” Usama Alshaibi, a Chicago-based filmmaker, adds his noncommittal voice and unsteady camera to the conversation, returning to his native Iraq in 2004 after an absence of almost 24 years.
