Un dramma che interseca le vite di un adolescente, della sua vecchia baby sitter, del marito di lei e della loro figlia.
Una citta‘ non ben definita, in un'epoca non ben definita, una coppia divorziata e altre persone cercano di sopravvivere alle loro esistenze. Il film e' estremamente drammatico, non solo per le vite che conducono i personaggi, ma proprio per quello che accadra' alla coppia divorziata. Il tutto condito in un ambiente tetro, uggioso, funesto.
The first half of David Gordon Green’s “Snow Angels” unfolds in the looming shadow of an awful tragedy. The audience knows something bad is coming because of the gunshots at the end of the opening scene, after which we are pulled back to a series of events beginning “weeks earlier.” But even without this framing device, it would be hard to mistake the mood of dread, defeat and lurking violence.
David Gordon Green's fourth feature is somewhat of a departure for a director known for his lyrical depictions of Southern life. Based on a novel by Stewart O'Nan and set in an unidentified northern town in the dead of winter, "Snow Angels" opens with a wink followed by a bang.
