Tra le tante opere incompiute della storia del cinema, quella di Clouzot merita una menzione particolare ed è meritoriamente ricostruita da questo film-documento che sfrutta l'abile montaggio delle rushes del film alternate alle interviste e testimonianze di chi orbitava a vario titolo attorno alla lavorazione del film.
