Al Box Office Usa Son of Rambow ha incassato nelle prime 4 settimane di programmazione 1,2 milioni di dollari e 52,5 mila dollari nel primo weekend.

Un bambino decide, telecamera in mano, di fare un remake del film che ha per protagonista suo eroe, John Rambo. Il titolo è una commistione tra la parola "Rambo" e "rainbow", "arcobaleno" in inglese.
La Universal ha annunciato che Jennings sta lavorando, per lo studio di animazione Illumination (Cattivissimo me), a un nuovo progetto che parla di coraggio, abilità e passione per la musica. Il film dovrebbe usicre nel 2016.

Wheter that dangling "w" in the title is some kind of legal concession or just a cute reflection of its protagonists' youth, it more or less sets the tone for "Son of Rambow," a dewy-eyed, plaintive, unafraid-to-be-adorable exercise in stylish nostalgia for a simpler time, when hair was big, cellphones were bigger and Sylvester Stallone was huge.
