Il suo nome è Tsotsi

For those of us who grew up in South Africa, Tsotsi is the very real story of very real people. All the desperation and hoplessness of the shanty town popultion with no real family or homes is brought startlingly to life in this film. The film certainly deserved an Oscar but the young actor deserved far more for his burning sincerity in the role as Tsotsi. Not since the movies of Marlon brando has a young man held such a total hold on an audience.
