Anno 1922. In un paesino della Sicilia dove vige l'omertà più totale, tutti sanno che a far fuori Angelo Paternò è stato Vito Acicatena: ma al processo nessuno parla. L'avvocato Spallone, fervente socialista, vorrebbe indurre la vedova a far riaprire il processo. Tra i due nasce una relazione che però si complica alla venuta di un cugino del defunto al quale la donna non nega le proprie grazie.
Year 1922. In a small town in Sicily where total omertà prevails, everyone knows that it was Vito Acicatena who took out Angelo Paternò: but at the trial no one is talking. Lawyer Spallone, a fervent socialist, would like to induce the widow to have the trial reopened. A relationship is born between the two, but it becomes complicated at the coming of a cousin of the deceased to whom the woman does not deny her graces.
