Un giudice rinuncia a un buon matrimonio per correre dietro a una giovane seducente e maliziosa. Questa però sposa un contadino e il giudice, accecato dalla gelosia, la uccide facendo incolpare del delitto il marito. Quando l'ex fidanzata del protagonista viene a conoscenza della vicenda, lui promette di costituirsi. Un suo nuovo tentativo di sottrarsi alla giustizia troverà la polizia pronta a intervenire.
