Film capace di emozionare, quindi degno di essere visto. Immedesimarsi nel protagonista immerso nella sua lotta (a lungo) solitaria contro tutti è tanto ambizioso quanto utopico. Personalmente mi piacerebbe pensare di avere il coraggio di rifiutare un assegno da 30 milioni di dollari per restare attaccato ai miei principi etici. L'uomo che osò sfidare la ford

È solo un caso che Marc Abraham abbia iniziato a lavorare nell'industria cinematografica come produttore. Da sempre interessato a stare dietro la macchina da presa, nel 2002 Abraham fonda insieme al socio Thomas Bliss la Strike Entertainment per poter scrivere e dirigere i propri film, salvo poi finire per produrre quelli degli altri. "Ho sempre voluto stare dalla parte dello sceneggiatore/regista, ma le cose hanno iniziato a funzionare da subito e mi sono ritrovato produttore" ha spiegato Abraham che nel suo palmarès vanta titoli come Air Force One, The Hurricane, The Family Man, Spy Game, L'alba dei morti viventi e I figli degli uomini.

Ha la faccia da intellettuale e i lineamenti forti di chi merita un posto d'onore nelle commedie romantiche, soprattutto quando si tratta di farsi soffiare la ragazza da Tom Hanks o Harrison Ford. Greg Kinnear è uno che il mondo lo ha girato prima ancora di fare l'attore, crescendo tra Atene e Beirut, ha studiato, si è laureato (in giornalismo, nel 1985) e ha impiegato un po' di tempo prima di convincere Hollywood che era qualcosa di più di un volto per far innamorare ma anche un attore a 360°. Flash of Genius" is largely about how one person's nothing is another person's everything. Take the intermittent windshield wiper, for example. I, for one, had never much thought about who designed it, where it came from or whether there was a story there. For Robert Kearns, however, it becomes the defining object of his life. In the late 1960s, while all of the big Detroit auto manufacturers were struggling to create their own intermittent wiper system, Kearns ( Greg Kinnear) invented one on his own in his basement. »

For a while, it looked like Greg Kinnear showed his acting chops best with supporting roles in the likes of As Good as It Gets, Little Miss Sunshine and the current Ghost Town. Well, hang on. Kinnear takes the star spot in Flash of Genius and rides it to glory. He plays Robert Kearns, the Detroit professor, inventor and father of six who came up with the idea for the intermittent windshield wiper during the 1960s. Go ahead, groan. I felt the same way.
